Preschool Program Year
Our program runs Sept 16, 2013- June 12, 2014
Choose from Mon-Thurs 9:00-11:30 a.m. or 1:00-3:30 p.m.
Choose 1, 2, 3 or 4 days. We can make a preschool schedule suitable to you!
Children must be three years old on December 31st of the current school year.
Children must be potty trained.

Daily programs include: dress up drama, art discovery, music and movement, dramatic play, dance, science and math, educational materials, sand and water table, crafts, storytelling, and snack time. Featuring new themes each week like Fairy Tales, Spring Science, All About Me!

Program Fees (For 2 days/week)
Before May 1, 2013: $750/year or $75/mo
After May 1, 2013: $800/year or $80/mo
Prices will be adjusted for parents wishing to register their child for more than two days per week.
For monthly payment option: Payment is due on the first day of the month, through post dated cheques submitted at the time of registration.
Registration fee of $25 is due at the time of registration (non-refundable)
Parent Participation Waiver Cheque of $25* dated for May 1, 2014
Fundraising Waiver Cheque of $50* dated for Nov 1, 2014

*Waiver cheques will be returned if parents volutneer and/or fundraise
An SAC membership is required (non-refundable)

To register for Arts for Tots, fill out the Registration Form and bring it in to Felicia at the SAC office. Reminder: for full-time students, post-dated cheques are required at this time.
Parents must sign a Field Trip Travel Release

 

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of dance and drama is involved in the program?

Appropriate movement for their age, mixed with suitable music helps to develop their large motor and coordination skills. When you learn to count, you learn by stepping it out in a dance! Drama is a great way to learn how to interpret their favorite stories and present themselves confidently!

What makes Arts4Tots unique?

Besides learning the basics, we bring in professional dancers, actors, music teachers and visual artists for them to learn in an artistic and creative way. The children particpate in community field trips - a real hit!

How much 'structure' is included in this program?

The structure is not excessive, but enough to keep an efficient schedule that is balanced. However, self-expression, exploring creativity and gaining a strong sense of self confidence and wellbeing are the larger part of the program. Each day starts with 20 minutes of free play.

Can my child come to Arts4Tots if they don't speak much English?

Yes, of course the can come! It can be challenging for them for a while, but they quickly catch on and are able to understand and speak English in no time. We have experienced this success in our program.

How do we know what our child will be doing for the week?

You will receive an email with a calendar. Look on Sunday's column for the theme of the week and what we will be learning about or celebrating. Also included are PJ days, field trips, etc. Feel free to download the monthly calendar from our website.

How do we know if Arts4Tots is cancelled due to bad weather?

Listen to 96.7FM radio. If Hanover School Division is closed due to sotrm or cold weather, so are we.
